- UVa-Wise returns home following a 0-2 weekend on the road at Catawba College and Queens University of Charlotte.
- Redshirt senior Ciara Kain's 149 kills this season lead her team while she ties fellow senior Briana Kerr for the second-most digs on the team (174).
- Senior Morgan Milligan has tallied a team-high 244 digs this season to rank 11th in the league while her 4.07 digs per set rank 10th in the conference.
- Morgan adds 138 assists this year to her stat line while freshman Zoe Avery has accumulated 160 assists to date this campaign. Both sit behind junior Makayla Ledford who boasts a team-high 213 assists.
- Junior Brooke Abbott continues to hold the highest attack percentage for the Cavs at .239 to sit within the top-20 in the league. Abbott also leads her team with 32 total blocks this season.
- The Cavs will get back on the road following Tuesday's match to play at Lenoir-Rhyne Friday night and Mars Hill Saturday afternoon. Coach Salyer's team will wrap up their October slate with a non-conference match at Concord next Tuesday.
Notes on Tusculum University
- Head coach Danielle Marante's team visits Wise following a 1-1 weekend with a loss at Queens (N.C.) prior to picking up a five-set win at Catawba. The Pioneers have won three of their last five matches, going 2-1 on the road.
- The Pioneers currently hold a 9-9 overall mark with a 7-6 South Atlantic Conference record. The team sits at seventh-place in the league team standings.
- Junior Gabby Gray and freshman Emiah Burrowes both lead their squad in kills with 195 and 193, respectively. The pair are among league leaders in the category as Gray ranks fourth and Burrowes ranks fifth in the conference in kills.
- Sophomore Taylor Blythe sits atop the hitting percentage rankings in the SAC with a .378 attack percentage alongside 99 kills so far this season.
- Freshman Elise Carmichael's team-high 391 assists places her fifth in the league while sophomore Carly Sosnowski has tallied a team-high 303 digs to rank sixth in the conference.
- Coach Marante' squad will stay on the road this weekend for matches at Mars Hill and Lenoir-Rhyne before wrapping up the month with a non-conference match against King University next Tuesday.

- Tusculum secured a 3-0 win over UVa-Wise earlier this season inside the David J. Prior Convocation Center.
