HARROGATE, TN – Lincoln Memorial rallied back to score the last three points to claim the fifth set and escape the Mary Mars Gym with the 3-2 South Atlantic Conference win over UVA Wise on Friday, with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 25-21, 17-25, 20-22.
The Highland Cavaliers totaled 64 kills, 90 digs and 10 service aces, but Lincoln Memorial hit .245 and held a 71-64 edge in kills.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Set
- The Cavaliers dropped the opening set 25-19 after Lincoln Memorial used six straight points to move from 12-10 to 18-10.
- Lincoln Memorial held a 17-10 advantage in kills, while the Cavs got kills from five players.

Mable James led the Highland Cavaliers with three kills and contributed on two blocks;
Olivia Amos added an ace and assisted on seven kills.
Second Set
- The Cavaliers won the set 26-24, finishing with 17 kills to Lincoln Memorial's 14.

Annabelle Dowell led the Cavs with five kills apiece in the set.

Mia Bradley served a four-point stretch early to move the Highland Cavaliers from 1-1 to 5-1, and she later added a service ace for a 21-19 lead.

Third Set
- The Cavaliers won the third set 25-21, using a 5-1 advantage in service aces to offset LMU's 14-12 edge in kills.

Maggy Sechrist added four.

Riley Brandon recorded a kill for a 21-19 lead and followed with three consecutive service aces to move the Highland Cavaliers ahead 24-19.
Fourth Set
- Lincoln Memorial won the set 25-17, finishing with 16 kills to the Cavaliers' 13.
- The Cavs spread their 13 kills among seven players, led by
Skye Williams and Sechrist with three apiece; Amos recorded 10 assists.
- The Highland Cavaliers trailed 4-0 after the first four rallies and finished the set with six attack errors and two service errors.
Fifth Set
- The Cavaliers fell 22-20 after the teams were tied at 20-20 and Lincoln Memorial scored the final three points.
- The Cavs finished with 12 kills to Lincoln Memorial's 10 and added three service aces.

Isabella Baylor led the Highland Cavaliers with four kills, while Sechrist added three kills and an ace and
Abigail Curtis served two aces.
- Lincoln Memorial scored four points on blocks and benefited from 11 Cavaliers errors in the set.
GETTING WISE
- Sechrist finished with with a double-double with a career-high 14 kills, 12 digs and a team-high 15 points.
- Williams also notched 14 kills, tying her career high, in addition to six digs.
- Amos recorded 42 assists, 14 digs and two service aces.

Abigail Curtis collected 28 digs and added six assists and two aces.

Mable James posted a team-high five blocks with seven kills.
- The 210 attacks are a season-high and the team just missed out tying their season high in digs as they had 90 tonight.
