GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - - Men's cross country competed in the Zaxby's Open hosted by Tusculum University Friday evening where the team placed tenth in the race with a total time of 1:45:40 and an average pace of 25:08.

Senior Will Law finished first for the Cavs with a total time of 18:33 followed by fellow senior Stephen Bath who complete the race in 19:59. Next for UVa-Wise was junior Tanner Redinger who completed the race with a time of 21:01 as sophomore Ryan Frederick finished the race in 21:41. Sophomore Ryan Wright wrapped up the race for the Cavs with a time of 24:24.

Host institution Tusculum placed first in the race with a total time of 1:25:08 as Tusculum's Will Cronin finished first with a time of 16:34.

UVa-Wise will now travel to Blacksburg, Va. to participate in the Virginia Tech Alumni Meet on Friday, Sept. 14.
