WISE, Va. – With forecasted rain and snow in the Glenville and Buckhannon, West Virginia, regions this Saturday and Sunday, UVa-Wise softball's two weekend road doubleheaders have been moved up a day.
 
The Cavaliers were originally scheduled to take on Glenville State at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday in Glenville, West Virginia, before traveling to West Virginia Wesleyan Sunday for a 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. doubleheader. With the schedule change, UVa-Wise will now face the Lady Pioneers Friday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., and then the Lady Bobcats Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
 
The Cavs began Mountain East Conference play Wednesday, splitting games at West Virginia State. UVa-Wise defeated the host Yellow Jackets 8-5 in game one before dropping a 1-0 decision in game two after a walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
