WISE - - Coming off its first win in program history, the women's lacrosse team at UVa-Wise will play its first ever Mountain East Conference game Saturday at 11 a.m. when Shepherd University visits Carl Smith Stadium. 

To celebrate the inaugural contest, the athletic department will be giving away commemorative t-shirts as the first-year program tries to win consecutive games.

Coach Meghan Dennehy's squad scored a 15-2 win at Lincoln Memorial on Wednesday as Stephanie Sintetas and Annie Hanson each recorded a hat trick in the victory.  Sinetas scored four goals and caused three turnovers while Hanson netted three goals and collected three groundballs.

Through seven games, Hanson has posted a team-high 10 goals while Mel Reilly has registered 80 saves in goal.
