Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. - - University of Charleston out-rebounded UVa-Wise 23-18 in the second half and limited the Cavaliers to 28.8 percent shooting in the half to score a 79-67 Mountain East Conference victory on Saturday.
Charleston (10-4, 7-3 MEC) hit eight 3-pointers in the contest, led by a game-high four triples by Xavier Humphrey. Humphrey finished the game 7-15 from the field to register a game-high 20 points. Tino diTrapano added 15 points and Aleksander Kesic scored 14 points for the Golden Eagles. Charleston was also good from the charity stripe hitting 17 of 22 attempts.
UVa-Wise's (7-7, 4-6 MEC)
Javon Moore scored a game-high 25 points and
Deon Boyce recorded his 10th consecutive double-double and 12th of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will return to play on Thursday when Concord University visits the Prior Center for a 7:30 p.m. tip.
