BLACKSBURG, VA – The UVA Wise cross country teams opened the season at the Virginia Tech Invitational, where both teams placed fifth. The women's 4.4K team finished with a score of 134 and a total time of 1:36:06, while the men's 6K team finished with 128 points, a total time of 1:39:38 and an average time of 19:55.
On the women's side,
Alexsis Porter placed 20th in the 4.385K, finishing in 17:28.9 with a score of 14.
Amelia Lewis finished 31st in 18:23.4 and scored 20.
Sadie Brewer placed 42nd with a time of 19:15.7, while Shaylen Cannon added a 49th-place finish in 19:48.7.
