WISE – For Caroline Mullins, the honors keep coming in. Today the sophomore can add D2CCA All-Southeast Region Second-Team honors to her ever-increasing tally.

Mullins led the team and the South Atlantic Conference in scoring this season, averaging 19.7 points a game to go along with 8.7 rebounds, 2.32 assists, 1.50 steals and 0.79 blocks per game. Her 551 points scored this season were the most since Sarah Helton in 2007 and she is the third player in UVA Wise women's basketball history to score more than 550 points in a season.

She earned SAC Player of the Week honors twice and was the school's first NCAA Division II National Player of the Week back in November.

The Jasper, Georgia, native becomes the first player in program history to be named to a D2CCA squad and is the first women's basketball player to be named to an all-region team since Sarah Helton in the early 2000s.

The team had one of their most successful seasons in the program's NCAA Era as they made their third appearance in the SAC Tournament in five years and were oh-so-close to the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.
