HICKORY, NC – UVA Wise built up a nine point lead at the half, but Lenoir-Rhyne rallied back to take the 95-80 South Atlantic Conference win in Shuford Arena Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game began with Lenoir-Rhyne's Junior Hodnett hitting a three-pointer at the 19:48 mark. The Cavaliers quickly responded with
Evan Ramsey's dunk, assisted by
Yoro Diallo. Both teams exchanged leads multiple times, but
Yoro Diallo and
Evan Ramsey helped spark a 9-0 UVA Wise run late in the half. Ramsey's dunk in the paint at the 12-second mark, assisted by
Patrick Shelley, secured a 45-36 lead at halftime.
- The Bears came out in the second half on fire, shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from behind the arc to outscore the Cavs 59-35 for the half. UVA Wise initially extended their lead to 47-36 with two free throws by
Cy Hardy at the 19:21 mark, but Lenoir-Rhyne responded with a strong offensive push. Tyler Burraston and Akili Evans combined for key baskets, with Evans scoring a fast-break layup at 9:27 to establish a four-point advantage. Julian Dozier's three-pointer at 8:17 further widened the gap, and the Bears maintained control to close out the game.
Kam Roberts led the Cavs' efforts with 17 of his 27 points in the second half, but the team ultimately fell short 95-80.

Kam Roberts nearly tied his career high as he had 27 points off of 13-18 shooting from the field. He also had a team-high nine rebounds.
