WISE – After LMU took the 54-31 half time lead on the back of almost 70 percent shooting from the field and nine three-pointers in the first half, the Highland Cavaliers mounted a furious comeback in the second half that fell short as the Railsplitters escaped the Prior Center with the 87-79 win.
The Cavs are currently ranked fifth in the latest NCAA Southeast Region Poll, which came out earlier today.

Lincoln Memorial quickly responded, with Walter Campbell and EJ Smith combining for a three-pointer and subsequent layup to establish a 5-2 lead. Kolier Pruett narrowing the gap to 19-14. Lincoln Memorial had one of their best offensive halves in program history, led by Smith and Campbell, as they hit nine three-pointers (most heavily contested) and shot almost 70 percent from the field and behind the arc. They used that hot shooting to go out to a 54-31 advantage by the end of the half.
