MCCORMICK, SC -- The UVA Wise men's golf team opened the 2025-26 season at the Southern Lakes Fall Invitational, finishing with a team score of 936,

They played the first day with rounds of 312 and 303 on the par 72 course before closing out the event on the second day with a third round total of 321 for a combined 936 for 15th place.

Piyachote Naphapayarksiri led the Cavs with a total of 227 (75-76-76), followed by Trenton McMillen's 233 (83-71-79). Jacob Leonard hit a 81-78-79 and Reilly Yoder carded a 82-78-78 to both tie with 238. Evan Loftis rounded out the team scoring with his 86-84-86 for a total of 256.

Teekatat Rukmaneewan competed as an individual in the event and scored 243 (87-79-77).

The Cavs will next hit the links at the King Invitational on Sept. 22-23, which will be held at the Golf Club of Bristol.
