GAFFNEY, SC -- The UVA Wise tennis teams stepped back into South Atlantic Conference play at Limestone on Thursday. The 44th-ranked men and women both fell to the Saints by 4-2 margins.

"We had countless missed chances today. I tip my hat off to those Limestone women's players because they just fought harder than our women today," said coach Alex Hunt. They played smarter today and executed in the pressure moments way better than us. It's a disappointing result today because we didn't lose because we weren't the better team, we lost because we didn't have enough nerve. We've really got some work to do before our next match."

Commenting on the men's team, Hunt said, ""It was a hard-fought match. Limestone just, frankly, had the perfect match ups against our guys. This is a tough loss, but we'll really see the mentality of our team in how we respond next week."

The teams were originally scheduled to play on Saturday against Lenoir-Rhyne, but those matches have been rescheduled for April 1. They will host Carson-Newman on the Jim & Betty Humphrey's Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
