WISE – The UVA Wise baseball team played host to former Mountain East Conference rival Concord Tuesday afternoon, and the Cavs fell to the Mountain Lions 13-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- CU jumped out to the early lead as they scored five runs in the top of the first inning.
Joshua Morgan would cut the lead to three in the bottom of the first as he hit a two run double to left center.
- The Mountain Lions would add eight more runs over the next five innings to take the 13-2 lead.
- The Cavs attempted a comeback starting in the eighth when they scored six runs from five hits, but they were unable to get any closer.
- Morgan was 3-5 on the day with two RBI as he also scored a run of his own.
Jake Smith was 2-3 with a run and a RBI and
DJ Dickson was 2-5 with a pair of runs.
