WISE – Seventh-ranked Catawba scored five runs in the second inning and the Highland Cavaliers were never able to come back all the way as they fell to the Catawba Indians 6-4 in the series finale Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Catawba plated five runners in the top of the second via a two RBI single through the left side and a three run home run.
- UVA Wise got on the board in the bottom of the second when
Jaden Ruehling scored from second. They scored again in the fourth on another Ruehling run.
- The Catawba Indians scored again in the fifth on a RBI single to make the lead 6-2.
- The Cavs scored two runs in the fifth as
Nick Badgett scored on a
Jacob Boyle single, and later
Joshua Morgan hit a sacrifice fly to center field that scored
DJ Dickson.

Matt Frye was 2-3 and Badgett was 2-4 to lead the Cavs.
