EMORY, VA – After winning game one on Friday afternoon, UVA Wise clinched their third consecutive SAC series victory with a 10-3 win in game two, before dropping the nightcap in extra innings 4-3.
UVA Wise (16-4, 6-3 SAC) finished the weekend in third place in the South Atlantic Conference, just one game back of the top spot in the standings.

Justin Snider started on the hill for the Cavaliers and threw 6 innings, scattering seven hits, while allowing just two runs (1 earned), and departing with a 7-2 lead in the 7
th inning, earning him the win on the mound.

Jacob Boyle got the Cavalier scoring started with a solo homerun in the 1
st inning.
-The Cavs extended their lead to 4-0 in the third as Josh Morgan drove in two with an RBI double before
Jaden Ruehling singled home Morgan. Morgan would add RBI's in the 5
th inning and 8
th inning as he finished the game with four hits and five RBI's.

Jeb Hurst added a solo home run in the 8
th inning, his third home run of the season and 16
th run batted in.

Nash Bingham finished off the Wasps in game one with two scoreless innings of relief allowing just two hits.
GAME THREE

Houston Sarvis started on the mound for the Cavaliers and earned a no-decision, after throwing 6.2 innings. Sarvis ultimately allowed three earned runs on five hits while striking out six, in a game that was tied four different times and saw four lead changes.

Jake Smith paced the offense, as he went 4-4 with two solo homeruns, driving in two in the finale. His second home run of the game (4
th of the season) gave the Cavs a 3-2 lead after six innings, only to see the Wasps tie the game with two outs in the 7
th inning.

DJ Dickson had a two-hit game for the Cavs and scored a run for the Cavs on a
Joshua Morgan sacrifice fly.

Bo Trantham (4-1) suffered his first loss of the season, allowing a solo home run in the 8
th inning after getting out of a jam in the 7
th inning sending the game to extra innings.

The UVA Wise Baseball Team will begin a nine game homestand this week as they host the Pioneers of Tusculum in a non-conference mid-week tilt on Tuesday night, before hosting Anderson University for a weekend series.
