WISE – The UVA Wise baseball team has their senior weekend spoiled by Limestone as the Saints won all three games of the series.

GAME ONE:
- The Cavs took the early lead with three runs in the bottom of the first inning.
- The lead then see-sawed over the next few innings before the Saints tied the game in the top of the eighth. Neither team scored in the ninth so the game went to extra innings.
- Limestone went up 9-7 with a two run home run in the top of the tenth. The Cavs'
Jacob Boyle came in to pinch hit and singled with one out. The team was unable to get another hit and the Saints held on for the win.

Cole Harness led the team with three hits, a run, and two RBI.
DJ Dickson also had three hits and a run.
GAME TWO:
- The Cavs had a 5-4 lead late but a seven run inning by the Saints allowed them to hold on for the 11-5 win.
- Five UVA Wise players had two hits in the game, with Harness and
Jake Weaver also earning two runs.
GAME THREE:
- The Saints grabbed a 3-0 lead in the first three innings.
- UVA Wise cut the lead to 3-2 with a two RBI hit to left field in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- Limestone then tacked on an insurance run in the top of the fifth and held on for the 4-2 win.

Morgan Miller had two hits and a run to lead the Cavs.
UP NEXT
UVA Wise will close out the 2024 season when they travel this weekend to face Anderson University for a single game Friday and a doubleheader on Saturday. First pitch is set for 6 pm in Anderson, S.C.
