ANDERSON, S.C. – The UVA Wise baseball team ended their season this weekend as they fell at Anderson in three very close South Atlantic Conference games. All three of the games were decided by two runs or less.

Final Game One: Anderson 4, UVA Wise 2

GAME ONE:
- Anderson jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and tacked on extra runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
- UVA Wise scored in the top of the seventh when Cole Harness doubled down the right field line to score DJ Dickson from second.
- The Cavs would score again in the top of the ninth when Dickson scored Nick Badgett on a sacrifice fly.
- Harness led the Cavs with two hits and a RBI. Dickson had a hit, a run and a RBI while Badgett also had a hit and a run. Morgan Miller also had a hit.
GAME TWO:
- The Cavs took the lead in the top of the fourth with Harness again scoring Dickson on a hit. Anderson tied the game up in the bottom of the inning.
- UVA Wise again took the lead in the sixth when Jacob Boyle scored Harness and Dickson with a double down the right field line. And once again the Trojans tied the game up in the bottom of the inning.
- The Trojans would then grab the lead for good with a triple in the bottom of the second that scored two runs.
- Miller had two hits to lead the team, while five other players had a hit apiece. Boyle led the team with two RBI.
GAME THREE:
- AU scored in the bottom of the third on an error.
- UVA Wise then took the lead in the fourth off a player hit by pitch with the bases loaded and later in the inning a walk with the bases loaded.
- The Trojans then tied the game in the fifth on a sacrifice fly and captured the win in the seventh on a walk-off hit by pitch.
- Reed and Dickson had the hits for UVA Wise.
