WISE - - Seven UVA Wise softball players were recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for their academic achievement, the National Fastpitch College Association announced this week.
Bayleigh Allison, Hayley Duckett, McKenna Falwell, Brie Frazier, Kara Long, Mallory McKnight and Abagail Mills received the honor by having at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale during the 2022-23 season.
A total of 8,297 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2021-22 academic year, with 1,790 of the recipients being NCAA Division II student-athletes.
