WINGATE, N.C./WISE - On a day celebrating seniors Dominic Hoffman and John Robert Kilgore, the squad went out with a bang — taking down the Trojans of Virginia State by a final score of 4-0.
In doubles play, Miguel De Rueda and Gustavo Marangoni swiped a No. 1 win by a score of 6-0. Dominik Thuri-Nagy and Vanja Vojinovic followed in the No. 2 spot with a win, and the senior duo of Hoffman/Kilgore finished off their careers with a 6-0 No. 3 doubles triumph.
In singles play, the trend continued as Marangoni, Hoffman, and Kilgore all held their opponents scoreless by scores of 8-0 each. Due to no-players, No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 were scored as a no result.
UVA Wise finished the year off with a 10-13 overall record and a 0-12 finish in conference play.
