STAUNTON, VA. — UVA Wise Men's tennis had no trouble taking down the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels today, taking a 9-0 triumph in non-conference action on Monday, March 13.
In doubles play, Pierre Djaroeuh and Dominic Hoffman teamed up for a 8-1 victory in the No. 1 spot, while Fabian Segreda and John Robert Kilgore took down Noah Knick and Louis Monjes by an 8-0 score in the No. 2 spot. Gustavo Maragoni and Vanja Vojinovic took a win by default in No. 3.
The Cavaliers (9-3) went six-for-six in singles play, with only Connor Lindjem in the No. 1 spot for the Squirrels snagging one game. Marangoni, Hoffman, Segrada, and Kilgore all shut their respective opponents down (6-0, 6-0) while Djaroueh won by default.
Up next, UVA Wise jumps back into conference play against Catawba on March 18.
