TIPOFF TIDBITS - NEWBERRY
- Newberry ended off the conference regular season with a barn-burning 78-76 win over the Emory & Henry Wasps inside Eleazer Arena on Saturday, Feb. 25.
- Quandaveon McCollum led the Wolves with 24 points and added nine rebounds to the statline. Andrew Robinson was the player of the game as the guard snuck in a jumper in the last three seconds of the contest to take the buzzer-beating victory. The win marked a 19-9 overall record for the Wolves — a program record.
- As a team, Newberry scores 72.2 points per game which ranks in the bottom three of the conference rankings. Yet, the team ranks second in the conference and in Division II in rebounding, averaging a solid 39.4 a game.

Quandaveon McCollum: the guard averages 17 points per game (ranks second in the conference) and averages 7.8 boards per game (ranks third in the conference)

UVA WISE NEWS & NOTES
- Heading into their first postgame appearance as a program in the South Atlantic Conference and finishing off their first winning season since 2009-10, the Cavaliers are sitting pretty after a solid 90-68 triumph over the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears inside the David J. Prior Convocation Center on Saturday, Feb. 25.
- In the victory, Lawson led the Cavalier effort with a team-leading 28 points consisting of 10 shots from the field and six three-pointers.
-Dean added 26 points of his own highlighted by four three-balls and five assists of his own. Patrick Shelley, another big contributor for the Cavaliers, added 16 points.
- UVA Wise shot a 56.7-percent from the field and a 51.6-percent from three-point range. Lenoir-Rhyne was held to less than 47-percent in both categories
- As a team, the Cavaliers are tied in second in points per game with 84.2 (tied with Catawba). This mark is in part by Bradley Dean who leads the SAC in the category (20.7). The team ranks at the top of all SAC schools in three-point field goal percentage with a 40-percent.
