Find complete game notes here.

TIPOFF TIDBITS - MARS HILL

- Larry Davis' squad have only secured one league victory in the 2022-23 season as they grabbed a 64-47 win against the 4-6 Limestone Saints on January 14.

-The Mountain Lions have struggled mightily from the field this season — sitting last in the conference in field-goal percentage (40.4) and three-point field-goal percentage (28.4).

- In their last SAC matchup, Mars Hill took a 26-point loss to Wingate on January 28 despite four Mountain Lions scoring in double-digits. Isaiah Jones led the way with 17 points and went eight-from-11 from the field to keep the Lions afloat while Kory Davis, Mars Hill leading scorer, added 13 points.

UVA Wise NEWS & NOTES

- UVA Wise finished up their Saturday with a tough loss to the Anderson Trojans in Anderson, S.C. by a score of 84-82 — putting them in a fourth place position in the Mountain division of the conference.

- The Cavaliers struggled from three-point range against Anderson, only hitting nine-of-33. Calen Lightford hit three of the nine three-point buckets.

- Sitting neck and neck with Carson-Newman with five wins, UVA Wise will have to take advantage of a home matchup with Mars Hill on Wednesday to stay in the hunt.

- Despite already securing a win over the Mountain Lions earlier this month — it was not an easy feat. The Mountain Lions outscored the Cavs 16-9 until the last minute of the contest where Bradley Dean drew a finalizing foul and went 2-2 at the charity stripe to secure the win. Luke Lawson was arguably the Cavaliers' biggest contributor, adding 30 points from six three-pointers and 11 made shots from the field. The fifth year also added seven rebounds to the stat line.

- Since the Mars Hill triumph, the Cavaliers have went 3-2 with two wins under the Prior Center roof.
