TIP-OFF TIDBITS
Lincoln Memorial enters Wednesday's matchup on a twelve-game win streak, most recently taking a 92-79 win against non-conference opponent Lees-McRae. In the victory, senior forward Jordan Guest and graduate forward Quay Kennedy accumulated 17 points each and kept the Bobcats below 33-percent from the arc.
As a team, Lincoln Memorial has a tight grip on national, regional, and conference rankings. The Railsplitters are ranked in sixth place in the D2SIDA and NABC polls respectively as of this week (Jan. 3). In the Southeast region, Lincoln Memorial has held the No. 1 spot since the week of Dec. 5. In the conference, Lincoln Memorial leads the conference in field goal percentage (53.2), scoring (90.6), and assists per game (19.5). These same stats hold weight nationally, as well — with their best ranking in field goal percentage( second place in Division II).

Martez Brown: The junior forward is hot on both sides of the court — he leads the conference in field goal percentage (72.2) and ranks second in rebounds per game (8.4).
Chase Rankin:Â The graduate guard currently sits in first place in the SAC in three-point field goal percentage with a 52.3.
UVA WISE NEWS & NOTES
UVA Wise held their ground against No. 18 Young Harris on Saturday, Dec. 31, but a late 5-0 scoring spurt for the Mountain Lions allowed their squad to barely sneak away with the win. SAC-points-per-game leader Bradley Dean produced a solid 26 points while Luke Lawson put up his first UVA Wise-career double-double. Calen Lightford also aided in the effort, matching a career-high 16 points. Despite their two-game losing streak, the Cavaliers still sit atop the conference as a team in three-point field goal percentage (42.2) which ranks in 8th place nationally.

This will be the Cavaliers' thirty-ninth meeting with the Railsplitters, and Lincoln Memorial leads the all-time series 29-9. In their last matchup, UVA Wise suffered a 113-59 loss at the Prior Center while being held to a 32.8-percent showing from the field. Railsplitter Jordan Walters of the 2021-22 LMU squad dropped 29 points from 13 made shots, aiding Lincoln Memorial in sinking 44-72 field goals (61.1-percent).
The last time UVA Wise defeated Lincoln Memorial was in the 2012-13 season where the Cavs squeezed out an 81-80 victory.
