The Catawba College men's basketball squad are on a four-game winning streak and have found themselves in first place in the Piedmont division of the SAC after snagging five early wins against Coker, Newberry (2x), Wingate, and Lenoir-Rhyne. In their most recent matchup, Catawba held Newberry to seven-of-23 from the arc and the Wolves only hit 60-percent of their free throws. Catawba's DeAngelo Epps went off for 27 points and will be one of Catawba's biggest weapons against the Cavaliers averaging around 15 points a game.

UVA WISE NEWS & NOTES
UVA Wise comes into Saturday's matchup after squeezing out a victory against Mars Hill by a score of 68-66. Lawson's career day included 30 points from six three-pointers and 11 made shots from the field, including seven rebounds on the night. The win gave the Cavs a 2-4 record in the SAC and look to push that number to three against 5-1 Catawba in the Prior Center.
The Cavs are notably successful on their home court with a 6-2 record while Catawba are 2-2 away from their home front.
