ELIZABETHTON, TENN. — The Cavaliers kept their win streak alive with a 4-3 defeat against Milligan on the road Thursday night, Sept. 29. 

In doubles play, Miguel De Rueda and Gustavo Marangoni snagged the only Cavalier win against Derian Janeke and Ryan Thomas by a 6-3 score. The Cavs (5-0) fell to their opponents in No. 2 and No. 3, giving Milligan (0-1) the doubles point.

In singles play, Fabian Segreda was unable to snag the win against Milligan's Justin Rigsby at No. 5, and Dominic Hoffman suffered the same fate against Janeke in a tiebreaker (6-2, 2-6, 6-2).

In the No. 1 spot, Dominik Thuri-Nagy got the Cavs started with a swift win against Marcos Moreno of the Buffaloes.

De Rueda snagged another Cavalier win against Thomas in the No. 2 spot in a three-set win. The next two UVA Wise wins would also go into three sets, with Marangoni taking down Gabriel Kajic and Vanja Vojinovic snagging a win over Juan Burgos-Torres.

At the conclusion, the Cavs overcame the Buffaloes in 4-3 fashion — putting the Cavaliers at a 5-0 record. The 5-0 record marks the best start for the UVA Wise men's tennis team in 7 years.
