Storylines – vs Wingate
Nationally ranked Wingate will look to take a step closer to the regular season South Atlantic Conference crown when UVA Wise comes to town Saturday. The Bulldogs are coming off just their third loss of the season, an 88-71 loss at home to Anderson Wednesday. Wingate suffered through a rough shooting night, connecting on just 12-of-49 shot attempts over the game's final three quarters. Veteran coach Ann Hancock does have one of the league's best front courts as Bryanna Troutman and Haleigh Brandon form a pair that averages 28.6 points and 21.1 rebounds per game. In a two-point win at UVA Wise earlier this season, Troutman scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Brandon finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Brandon leads the conference in rebounding at 13.1 per game.
