WISE, VA — Alyssa Hanley and her squad are set to face the Emory & Henry Wasps for a rematch in Cavalier country on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
UVA WISE VS. EMORY & HENRY GAME NOTES
The Cavs (4-9, 1-8 SAC) are fresh off of their first league win in the history of the program's South Atlantic Conference career. UVA Wise took down the Coker Cobras in a swift 3-0 defeat (25-19, 25-23, 25-16) with sophomore kill leader Kaylee Scarce leading the win with 12 kills. Junior Cassidy Farley put up a season-high nine blocks along with an impressive .316 hitting percentage and 14 points. UVA Wise outperformed the Cobras by a 16 kills overall in the shutout.
EMORY & HENRY NOTES
This will be the second meeting of the season between the two squads as the Wasps took down the Cavaliers in a 3-0 triumph (19-25, 21-25, 15-25) on Sep. 6, 2022.
Emory & Henry (1-16, 1-8 SAC) played one of their best matches against the Cavs as the Wasps put up a .325 hitting percentage. Since their win against the Cavs, the Wasps are 0-10 against their opponents and are tied in last place in the SAC Mountain division.

The last time the UVA Wise volleyball program won two back-to-back conference matches happened on the weekend of October 21, 2016 when the Cavs beat West Virginia Wesleyan 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-11) and Glenville State (25-21, 25-18, 25-17).
