ROCK HILL, S.C. – UVA Wise volleyball's
Cassidy Farley has been named to the 2021 South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman team the league office announced Thursday morning.
Farley, a 5-foot-10 native of Abingdon, Virginia, started in four matches for UVA Wise this season as she compiled 27 kills, averaging 1.5 kills per set. She led the Cavaliers this campaign with 17 blocks (three solo, 14 assisted) and added a team-best .302 attack percentage.
Farley tallied a season-high eight kills twice this campaign as she hit .500 or better in her final two matches, notching a season-high .571 attack percentage against Limestone in the Cavs regular season finale.
Wingate's Shannon Kasprak earned SAC Player of the Year accolades. Anderson's Tabitha Wheeler was tabbed Freshman of the Year while the Trojans Todd Hay was named Coach of the Year.
