Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – Men's tennis outlasted Randolph College Sunday afternoon on the road, 5-4.
At doubles, senior Coleton Burke and junior Luke Jarnagin defeated their opponents at the number two spot, 8-5, while sophomores Connor Giza and John Robert Kilgore won by default at number three.
Jarnagin posted another match win over Colby Cook at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2 while Giza swept Ramiro Chavez-Montoya, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5. Kilgore won by default at the No. 6 spot as the Cavs picked up the road victory.
Head coach Roger Whited and his squad will be back in action next Saturday for the Cavaliers home and conference opener against the Wolves of Newberry College. First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Jim and Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex.
