Storyline – vs. Limestone
Head coach Kyle Perry and the Limestone Saints come into the 2021-22 season with hopes to better their record from their previous season — last year, the Saints were only able to take two wins out of 13 games before their season came to a halt due to the pandemic. Both of their wins came from South Atlantic Conference (SAC) opponents (Tusculum and Mars Hill). In the 2021-22 SAC Preseason Poll, Limestone was ranked in the no. 11 spot out of 13 teams.
 Limestone comes into Wednesday's game with a 1-1 record, defeating Erskine 80-74 with help from sophomore Ben Gahlert who scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds.Their first loss of the year came from North Greenville who defeated them 66-60. The Saints struggled from the arc, only connecting on 7 of 30 shots.

Ben Gahlert: 21 pts (vs. Erskine, 11/12/21), 9 rebs (vs. NGU, 11/12/21), 3 asts (vs. NGU, 11/12/21), produced a double-double (24 pts, 10 rebs) against last meeting with UVA Wise (1/30/21)
Ayo Dada: 17 pts (vs. NGU, 11/12/21), averaged 16.2 pts, 3.2 asts. and 1.6 steals in 2020-2021 season

Head Coach Blake Mellinger and his crew hope to enter conference play and come out with a win, as their first two games of the season in Jefferson City, Tenn. ended in losses (King 95-77, Lees-McRae 80-52).Â
The Cavaliers saw promising efforts from new players, such as Joel Pettiford who connected on 5-8 field goals and put up 13 points against the Tornado. In addition, the Cavs saw Jeff Jackson Jr. come off the bench and drop in a team-high 12 points against Lees-McRae in game two of the weekend. Veteran Kaeleb Carter produced 27 points while in Jefferson City, and teammate Isaiah McAmis scored a career-high 16 points against King in Saturday's matchup.Â
