Coker most recently secured a one-point victory, 52-51, against Limestone Wednesday evening. So far this season, juniors Anthony Thomas and Chandler Lindsay lead the Cobras' scoring effort averaging 12.3 and 12 points per game, respectively. Coker currently ranks last in the league in scoring, averaging 59.8 points per game while shooting 40.6 percent from the field. Coker ranks fourth in the league in assists averaging eight per game.

About UVA Wise
After postponing their games through the end of 2020, the Cavalier men are back in action this weekend with back-to-back league matchups at Coker University. UVA Wise begins the 2021 portion of the schedule with an 0-3 mark in the SAC as Coach Mellinger's team ranks third in the league in scoring, sixth in field goal percentage, and second in both assists and free throw percentage. Junior Cameron Whiteside has not slowed down this season with the guard leading the country in scoring with his 32.3 points per game. Whiteside also posts a team-leading 8.7 rebounds per game and is shooting nearly 54 percent from the field this campaign. The team also added a newcomer to their roster over the break in freshman Bradley Dean. A native of Nickelsville, Virginia, Dean comes to Wise from Scotland Prep after a standout career at Gate City High School. While at Gate City, Dean helped his team win a state title his sophomore season and accumulated more than 2,000 career points. He was also named district, region, and state player of the year in his senior season.
