Storylines – vs LIMESTONE UNIVERSITY
Second-year head coach Kyle Perry and the Saints have compiled an 1-8 overall and South Atlantic Conference mark so far this season. The team picked up its sole win of the campaign nearly two weeks ago in a seven-point victory over Tusculum University at home. The Saints almost knocked off Coker University earlier in the month in a one-point loss on the road. As a team, Limestone is averaging 67.4 points per game while shooting 37.9 percent from the floor. From behind the arc, Coach Perry's team is averaging eight three's a game and shooting 29 percent from downtown. The Saints are led in scoring by Ayo Dada's 16.7 points per game while Ben Gahlert (10.3 ppg) and Isayah Owens (10.1 ppg) are also averaging double-figures for Limestone. Gahlert's 6.2 rebounds per game lead his squad. Limestone is fourth in the league in turnovers (13.2 per game) while opponents are averaging 49.5 percent shooting from the field. Limestone is back on the road for its next three contests with Carson-Newman up first Monday night.

UVA Wise dropped its home matchup against Newberry College last Saturday evening, 73-70, inside the David J. Prior Convocation Center. Head coach Blake Mellinger's team led the Wolves most of the game, but a late rally by Newberry aided the team to a three-point win. Two players recorded double-digit points in

Briggs Parris (13). Whiteside added a team-best seven boards as freshman
Bradley Dean picked up a season-high eight points. The Cavs were assisted with 21 points from the bench and registered a season-high nine steals in the contest. Whiteside (22.6 ppg) and Parris (11.1 ppg) are the two leading scorers for UVA Wise this season. The Cavs are currently sixth in the SAC in scoring (76.3 ppg), third in free throw percentage (76.3 percent), and second in assists per game (16.9). UVA Wise is also fifth in steals per game (6.5) and fourth in three-pointers made, connecting on nearly nine triples a contest.Â
