Head coach Josh Schertz and the No. 2/6 Railsplitters host UVA Wise Monday night as Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a 100-76 win at Limestone Wednesday evening. LMU has lost just one game so far this season in a 89-83 setback to Lenoir-Rhyne earlier this month. The Railsplitters lead the South Atlantic Conference and rank seventh in the country in points per game, scoring 93.6 per contest. The team's 54.3 field goal percentage also leads the league and places LMU fourth in the nation in the category. LMU has also performed well from behind the arc, averaging a league-high 11.6 three-pointers per game while shooting 41.3 percent from long range. Coach Schertz'Â team has been dominant on the boards, registering 31.9 defensive rebounds per game and averaging nearly nine more boards per game than opponents. The Railsplitters are led in scoring by senior guard Devin Whitfield's 21.6 ppg with three more LMU players averaging double-digit points. Whitfield is shooting 57.4 percent from the field and 88.9 percent from the charity stripe. Juniors Jordan Guest and Cameron Henry account for the top rebounders for LMU, posting 6.8 rpg and 5.3 rpg, respectively.

Drew Greene dished out a team-best six assists. Monday's game at LMU will be the first of back-to-back games against the Railsplitters. The last time the two teams met, the Cavs fell 94-76 at home. UVA Wise has won two of its last 11 meetings with Lincoln Memorial. Coach Mellinger's team currently ranks fourth in the league in scoring, averaging 79.3 points per game, and third in free throw percentage (77.6 percent). The Cavs will return home Wednesday for the team's second-straight matchup with LMU. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. inside the Prior Center.
