BRISTOL, Tenn. – Men's tennis suffered a 7-0 loss to the Tornado of King University Saturday afternoon.

UVa-Wise (3-2) freshmen Cleve Packer and Connor Giza fell, 6-2, at No. 1 doubles while junior Coleton Burke and sophomore Luke Jarnagin were swept, 6-0, at No. 2 doubles.

In singles play, Packer was defeated at the No. 1 position, 6-1, 6-1, while Burke and Giza were each swept, 6-0. 6-0, at the No. 2 and No. 3 spot, respectively. Jarnagin dropped his match at No. 4, 6-1, 6-0 to King's Jorge Rojas. Freshman John Robert Kilgore fell at No. 5, 6-0, 6-2, while senior John Hamilton was outlasted by his opponent at No. 6, 6-2, 6-1.

Head coach Roger Whited's team will conclude the fall season tomorrow with a 10 a.m. match against Lees-McRae College at Bristol Indoor Courts.
