About uva-wise

UVa-Wise has won back-to-back road MEC games for the first time since Nov. 2014. Most recently, junior Cynita Webb turned in her ninth double-double performance of the season as she poured in 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 71-59 win at West Virginia State. The Cavaliers also had two players reach new career-highs in rebounding as senior Ashley Cullen and sophomore Ada Stanley each had 10 rebounds in the victory. First-year Head Coach Jamie Cluesman will be coaching her first ever game against her alma mater and the coach she played for on Saturday. Cluesman was a four-year letter winner for Coach Kenny Osborne where she aided the Mountain Lions to back-to-back 20-win seasons. Twice an all-conference honoree, Cluesman tallied 904 points, 536 rebounds, 655 assists and 277 steals. The game has major implications on the league standings, the Cavs are currently in a three-way tie for fifth place while the Mountain Lions are tied for second and sit a game back of league leader Glenville State. The top 10 teams will make next month's league tournament with the top six teams each receiving a bye.
