BRISTOL, Tenn. - - Men's tennis dropped its match to Lees-McRae in a 7-0 decision Sunday afternoon.

At No. 1 doubles for the UVa-Wise (0-4), Coleton Burke and Luke Jarnagin were defeated 6-2 while Dominic Hoffman and John Hamilton fell to Less-McRae's Matt Melvich and Rusty Batten at the number two spot, 6-1, giving the Bobcats a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

Burke was upset at the number one singles position by the Bobcats' Popevic, 6-0, 6-1, while Hoffman fell at the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-0, to Lees-McRae's Komp. At the No. 3 position, Jarnagin was outlasted, 6-1, 6-1 by Melvich as Hamilton was swept at the No. 4 spot, 6-0, 6-0. At the No. 5 and No. 6 position, Daniel Laughlin and Jakub Blach each fell to their opponents by a score of 8-2.

Men's tennis will return to action in the spring with their first match of the season against Georgetown College (Ky.) on Feb. 23. First serve is schedule for 2 p.m. at the Jim and Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex.
