WISE, Va. – The UVa-Wise men's tennis team's Mountain East Conference opener against Fairmont State University scheduled for this Sunday morning has been postponed due to forecasted snow and cold temperatures. The home match will be made up on Sunday, March 19, with a 10 a.m. first serve from the Jim and Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex.
 
With one to three inches of snow forecasted Saturday night and temperatures expected to be in the low 20's Sunday morning, head coach Danny Rowland thought it in the best interest to postpone the match. The road match at Bluefield College (Va.) scheduled for Sunday, March 19, has now been canceled.
 
The Cavs return to competition Saturday, March 18, with an away match at the University of Pikeville. The women's team will join the men for a 12 p.m. start from Pikeville, Kentucky.
