Men's Tennis Falls 6-3 to Concord

WISE - - Visiting Concord University was able to overcome a pre-match error in a 6-3 Mountain East Conference men's tennis victory over UVa-Wise Thursday afternoon. The Mountain Lions incorrectly listed their third and fourth singles players forcing the visitors to default the matches.

The other victory for UVa-Wise (4-9, 1-5) came in number one singles where Andrii Rutnytskyi outlasted Robert Camplin 7-5, 7-5. Rutnytski teamed with Oleg Kopychenko for a near miss in number one doubles as the duo fell 9-8 to Camplin and Jonaiaed Toshif.

Coach Danny Rowland's Cavaliers have one regular season match remaining when the team plays host to West Virginia Wesleyan Saturday morning at 11 a.m.
