UVa-Wise Defeats Berea in Men's Tennis Action

BEREA, Ky. - - UVa-Wise snapped its three-match losing streak with a 6-3 win at Berea College Saturday. UVa-Wise took two of three doubles matches while also claiming four singles matches in the non-conference battle.

UVa-Wise (4-7) posted wins in first and second doubles as the team of Oleg Kopychenko and Andrii Rutnytski claimed an 8-1 win in first singles and Noah Aldridge and Viktor Tunnikov won 8-5 in second singles.

Those four players would go 4-0 in singles play losing just one set out of the nine they played in.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Thursday when Concord visits Wise for a Mountain East Conference match.
