Storylines – King University game

The Tornado is led by Senior Logan Lyle, and King University  is off to a 3-1 start. Lyle is averaging 16.8 points, 2.25 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game through the first four games. Lyle has made a team-high 14  3-pointers, he is shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc and is adding 88.2 percent from the line. As a team, the Tornado are averaging 78 points per game and have already made a combined 47, 3-pointers.  Overall, King has outscored opponents by 69 points beyond the arc.  Most recently, King scored an 86-75 win over Pfeiffer, Lyle scored a game-high 22 points in the victory as he made all seven attempts at the foul line.

About UVA-Wise
UVa-Wise is looking to hault a three game losing streak after coming off a 80-65 setback to Notre Dame College.  UVa-Wise had four players in double figures against the Falcons. Freshman Aaron Meredith had a career-high 10 points and 6 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Sophomore Brian Sydnor leads the conference in rebounding and he posted 12 against Notre Dame.  The Cavaliers will be looking to get more consistent play.  Through four games, UVa-Wise is allowing 95.2 points per game while scoring 74.2 points a contest.  This will be coach Blake Mellinger's squad fifth of six straight games away from the Prior Center to open the season.  The home opener for UVa-Wise will be December 4th against West Virginia Wesleyan  at 7:30 pm.
