WISE - - The UVa-Wise men's tennis scored its first victory of the 2013-2014 season on Monday with a 7-2 victory over visiting Bluefield College.

In the victory, Vlad Akimenko, Marc Huff, Oleg Kopychenko, Tanner Crowder, and Juhan Washington all posted wins in singles play for the Cavaliers (1-1).  Meanwhile, the teams of Akimenko/Washington and Huff/Kopychenko collected victories in number two and number three doubles. 

Bluefield (0-1) posted its victories in number one doubles as Lochlan Kitchen and Markel Aranberri won 8-4 over Chris Armistead and Crowder and in number two singles when Aranberri won in straight sets.

UVa-Wise will return to play on Wednesday when King University visits Wise.  First serve is set for 4 pm.  Full results of today's match can be found below:
