The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Katie van Hofwegen is entering her third season as assistant volleyball coach at UVa-Wise.

The Shorter University graduate earned numerous accolades, as four-year standout on the school's volleyball team. Her 163 aces rank first in school history. In addition, she has interned as an assistant volleyball coach for Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia. During her career, van Hofwegen also served as the assistant coach for the Heart of Volleyball club in Lynchburg.

The coach is a native of Riverside, California, and obtained her bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a minor Spanish in 2011.
