The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Alyson Lewisis in her third year as an assistant athletic trainer at UVA Wise. Lewis came to the College after working as the head athletic trainer at Rowan County Senior High School in Morehead, Ky. where she solely provided coverage for over 20 athletic teams.

Lewis also spent time at Morehead State University as a graduate assistant primarily working with the women’s soccer team while pursuing a master’s degree. The trainer also worked with the cross country, track, men’s and women’s golf, rifle, football and baseball programs.

Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Health Professions and the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, Lewis is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.

She obtained a bachelor of science in athletic training from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. before adding a master of arts in sport management from Morehead State. Her husband, Zach, is the offensive coordinator at UVA Wise.
