Adam Cook is in his second season at UVA Wise. Cook services as the primary contact for the sports of football, women's lacrosse and the school's running programs.
Prior to coming to UVA Wise, Cook served as an assistant athletic trainer at West Virginia State University where he was responsible for clinical and on-field medical coverage, medical documentation, COVID-19 testing and inventory management.
"We are delighted to welcome Adam to our sport medicine team, his familiarity with NCAA DII and his experience with rehab programming and implementation in clinic settings will serve our athletes well, stated UVA Wise Director of Athletics Kendall Rainey. "Adam is a great addition to our UVA Wise family."
A native of Beckley, W.Va., Cook obtained a bachelor's of science degree in athletic training from the University of Charleston before later adding a master of science in rehabilitation services from California University of Pennsylvania.
