Tim Ladd

Tim Ladd is entering his second season at UVA Wise, serving as the Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach.

In year one the Cavalier offense made major improvements in multiple offensive categories. Averaging over a touchdown more per game, jumping in total yards per play and yards per game, and passing for 400 more yards than the season prior were a few notable improvements. Both the ground game and air attack garnered attention with Running Back Ian Scammel, and Wide Receiver Seth Fischbach receiving post-season All-SAC recognition.

Ladd spent three years as the Quincy University Offensive Line Coach before coming to Wise. The Offensive Line unit helped pave the way to 3 consecutive top three finishes in total offense in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and the top spot in rushing offense in 2023. Seven different offensive linemen earned All-GLVC honors under Ladd’s tenure, highlighted by three-time All-GLVC BJ Wilson. In 2022 BJ was selected First Team All-GLVC for the second consecutive season, earned a spot on the D2 Elite 100 First Team, and accepted an invite to the NFL East-West Shrine Game. Wilson signed a UDFA deal with the Carolina Panthers, and is currently with the XFL’s Houston Roughnecks.

Prior to QU, Ladd spent two seasons coaching the tight ends at Ave Maria University. In his time at Ave Maria, Ladd held additional roles as the Director of Football Operations, Recruiting Coordinator, and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.

Ladd began his coaching career at his alma mater, Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. In his five seasons at Saint Xavier, the Cougars made four NAIA Playoff appearances. Numerous offensive linemen received all-conference recognition under Ladd’s direction and two were named NAIA All-Americans including four-time All-MSFA First Teamer and two-time NAIA All-American Justin Hunter.

Ladd was a four year starter on the offensive line for SXU, and was a member of the 2011 NAIA National Championship team. In his four years as a player the Cougars held a record of 45-8, and made it to at least the semi-finals in three out of four years. Ladd was a team captain, two-time All-MSFA selection and was selected as a 2013 College Football America Pre-Season All-American.

Ladd is from Chicago, Illinois. He and his wife, Danielle, live in Wise and are expecting their first child in January 2026.
