Ryan Whitaker will be entering his first season with the Cavaliers as the Running Backs Coach.
Whitaker comes to UVA-Wise after having spent last season at Maine Maritime Acadamy serving as the Running Backs and Tight Ends Coach where he helped resurrect a program.
Prior to Maine Maritime Academy, Whitaker was at St. Benedict High school where coached Running Backs and Returners.
Whitaker was a part of the Lane College Football team from 2018-21 as a Running Back. He graduated from the University in 2022. He went on to finish his las season at Mississippi Valley State University as a Running Back.
Whitaker is from Memphis, TN and currently lives in Wise.
