The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Michael Jackson is in first season coaching defensive ends at UVa-Wise.The coach comes to UVa-Wise after spending the last six months working with the NFL Players Association. In that capacity, he assisted players with continuing their education while also developing relationships with the NFLPA membership to enhance union initiatives.

Prior to his time with the NFLPA, Jackson worked as an events and operation assistant with the Tampa Buccaneers during their 2015 training camp. Jackson has also worked in his hometown of Manassas where he was an assistant coach at Stonewall Jackson High School. While there, Jackson designed and implemented the team's strength and conditioning program.

Earlier in his career, Jackson was a volunteer assistant with West Virginia University's football program and a coach with NFL Play 60.

Jackson graduated from West Virginia in 2014 with a degree in sport management.
