The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Killian Markworth is in his third season as the tight ends coach and special teams coordinator at UVA Wise.

Under Markworth’s direction, a pair of tight ends have experienced breakout campaigns. This spring, Keishoen Jarett caught 16 passes for 150 yards in the three- game schedule after Seth Phillips had a breakout season at tight end in 2019 where he caught 21 passes and a pair of touchdowns.

A native of Wisconsin, Markworth was an accomplished athlete as he aided Arrowhead Union High School to a state title and a top 50 ranking nationally before playing collegiately at Millikin (Ill.).

At Millikin, Markworth was a four-year letter winner where he played fullback, tight end and defensive tackle while also serving as a member of the student-athlete advisory council.

He began his coaching career at Millkin after exhausting his eligibility as he worked with the program’s tackles, tight ends and fullbacks.

After graduating from Millikin in 2017, Markworth moved on to Morehead State where he spent time as assistant offensive line coach and tight ends coach before venturing to Wise.
