Hines joins the staff in 2026 as an Assistant Linebackers Coach after having spent four seasons on the field as a player for the Cavaliers. He was a four-year starter from 2022-2026, where he started in 35 games and had 174 total tackles (94 solo and 80 assists), two interceptions, and forced four fumbles.
While a student at the College, the native of Spindale, North Carolina was a member of the Leadership Council, a team captain, and graduated with his BA in Sport Management and is pursuing a M.ED in Curriculum and Instruction.
Prior to UVA Wise, Hines attended Rutherfordton-Spindale Central High School in Rutherfordton, NC. At R-S Central, he was a three year team captain of the football team, was named All-Conference in 2021 and NC East-West All Star Game MVP. He was also a member of the basketball Team.
