The University of Virginia's College at Wise Athletics

Former Cavalier Dez Hopkins in his second season as the cornerbacks coach at his alma mater. The Stafford, Va. native was a key figure on the 2018 squad that won four league games. In 2018, Hopkins picked off a trio of passes and finished with six pass deflections.

The defensive back was part of arguably the program’s biggest win as a NCAA Division II member when Hopkins and his teammates went on the road and defeated perennial power Shepherd 21-16 in his final collegiate game.

The coach graduated from UVA Wise with a degree in sport management.
